THOSE RISING GAS PRICES

Everyone's felt the hit in the wallet from those high gas prices. As fast as they are rising though, it would be nice to be able to check prices before you need to refuel without having to drive around using gas to find the lowest price. Well, there's a website that will help: www.boisegasprices.com. This site gives prices all around the Boise area as they are reported in by users. They are only kept up for 2.5 days max (60 hours) unless updated by members. Their sister site: www.idahogasprices.com, does the same for the rest of the state. Both of these sites are part of a network of sites across the U.S. and Canada that take individuals' reports of gas prices available through www.gasbuddy.com, and include regular unleaded and diesel only. Another site is www.gaspricewatch.com which gives all grades of gas.
A government website (www.fueleconomy.gov/feg/gasprices/states) will also link you up to these websites.
Another site that features gas prices at their stations all across the country is www.flyingj.com. It's updated daily at 6am. Check 'em out and save some time and money.
For that cross country trip you're planning, check out www.fuelcostcalculator.com. This site will allow you to get a good idea how much a trip will cost at the pumps based on what kind of car you drive, how far you're going, and how much fuel costs where you'll be going. For more help planning trips, see www.traffic.com.
